GAS WELDING EQUIPMENT
Our range of gas welding equipment, includes cylinder trolleys, flashback arrestors, gas welding and cutting torches, nozzles and hoses.
Gas welding & cutting carries a good deal of danger & all businesses must be across British Compressed Gas Association regulations. All apparatus must be well maintained in accordance with BCGA's CP7 regulations.
Summary of our gas welding equipment range
-
Gas Welding Torches & Cutting equipment
We stock a range of gas welding and cutting torch options. Our Model O lead welding kit is great for the welding of thin gauge sheet metal and finite gas welding applications, whilst the Type 5 platform is modular and allows for welding with a swaged nozzle and cutting with the addition of a gas cutting attachment. For thinner gauge steel, the lightweight gas welding platform will allow you to weld up to 8 mm diameter. -
Argon & Oxy/Fuel Gas Welding Hose
Oxy/fuel welding hoses link the oxygen and fuel cylinders to the valve devices on the gas welding torch. Choose from oxy/acetylene and oxy/propane hose sets in 5, 10 & 20 metre sets. Argon hose for MIG & TIG welding is also available by the metre or in the form of 2 metre argon hose set with 3/8 fittings. -
Gas Welding Regulators & Gas Saving equipment
All gas welding regulators are date stamped and should be replaced every five years, under BCGA's CP7 testing regime. With an emphasis on quality & technical support, our experienced partners Weldgas supply us with a range of indicator, plug, single stage & two stage models with bottom, side & nevoc style entry points. Argon & Argon Mix gas saving devices come in the form of the Elga Optimator. The Optimator controls the surge of gas in the MIG & TIG process, when the torch is initiated. Savings can be up to 30% of normal consumption. -
Gas Welding & Cutting Nozzles
Choose from model O lead burning nozzles, heavy weight & light weight swaged welding nozzles & oxy/fuel cutting nozzles. -
Flashback Arrestors
Gas safety devices are used to protect single cylinders, outlet points or pipelines from gas blowback and explosion. We offer a choice of resettable and non-resettable flashback arrestors for gas welding & cutting. In accordance with BCGA CP7 regulations, flashback arrestors should be changed every five years. -
Safe handling & transportation of gas cylinders
Cylinder related accident risk can be reduced by ensuring bottles are moved & chained safely. BCGA's GN3 regulations point to the use of trolleys when moving cylinders. Securing chains, 200 mm wheels & handle height all form part of the guidance. Three wheel twin cylinder trolleys perform best, where the ground maybe uneven.
